Hyundai signs agreement with Chinese province to develop connected cars

Hyundai Motor co has signed an agreement with Guizhou provincial government of China.

The two sides would be setting a big data center in the South Western Chinese province, the center will gather and analyse data related to transport which will be used to develop connected cars and services.

The center will be operational from June 2017. This will be first ever big data center set up by Hyundai outside South Korea.

The company has also signed a contract with Cisco systems in Guizhou to jointly develop connected cars. The two companies will be working together, sharing and developing technology related to vehicle connectivity and security.
