Prior to this Airbiquity has already integrated Twitter & TuneIn, INRIX & Parkopedia, Reuters & Yelp and many more. Now, the  Slacker and Stitcher applications feature tight integration between each content provider’s application services and vehicle entertainment systems—Including support for Apple iOS and Google Android smartphones. Bluetooth connectivity, speech recognition technology, and comprehensive application policy configuration features  enabling  a seamless connected car driver experience while minimizing dangerous driver distractions.

“Terrestrial radio simply can’t provide the wide range of listener choice and customization that Internet radio can, and an increasing number of listeners are connected car drivers that expect safe and familiar access to Internet radio while driving their cars. Extending our brand and listening experience to the growing connected car audience is important to Slacker. Working with Airbiquity and their automotive industry customers helps us accomplish this goal.”  Steve Cotter, SVP of Business Development, Slacker Radio.
