Cadence Tensilica HiFi audio/voice DSP family to use SPL’s Vitalizer in-car audio software

Cadence Design Systems, Inc. and SPL electronics GmbH (SPL) announced that SPL’s Vitalizer software has been ported to the Cadence Tensilica HiFi Audio/Voice digital signal processing (DSP) family and is available now.

Targeted towards automobile manufacturers and tier 1 automotive infotainment suppliers that want to create the most efficient, high-quality audio experience, SPL’s highly acclaimed Vitalizer software delivers fuller and richer sound, without the need to install more expensive speakers, by modifying the output of the audio for the particular automobile cabin while taking human hearing into consideration. The Vitalizer software adjusts the equalization of the output to produce the most optimal listening experience for the specific environment.
