Sri Lanka’s mobile phone operator Dialog Axiata has launched a navigation app for mobile phones. The application will help Dialog Subscribers find direction, plot routes and find places of interest, a statement said. It has voice support navigation in Sinhala, Tamil and English languages allowing drivers to navigate their vehicle without looking at the screen of the navigation device.
The system has a detailed map of the island’s road network, which includes small city streets. In addition, over 100,000 points of interest such as places of worship, tourist destinations, financial institutions, automotive repair, emergency services, medical services and restaurants are pre-loaded onto the device, available on demand.
Dialog SATNAV provides voice supported navigation to GPS Smartphones and Vehicle Devices.
The demo version of SATNAV can be downloaded FREE from the Dialog W@P site for Windows Mobile, Android (up to v2.3) and Symbian Smartphones.
