Audi, a part of Volkswagen group, won five awards in the 2014 Connectivity Awards 2014. The winner were chosen through a reader survey conducted by auto motor und sport and CHIP, in which 42,500 readers chose the best connectivity features. The brand with four rings came out top in these five categories: Navigation, Telephone Integration, Sound System, Entertainment/Multimedia and Connected Cars. The awards ceremony will be held in Stuttgart on September 17th.
Automobile and smartphone manufacturers, cellular phone service providers and software companies competed for the top spot in a total of ten categories in the “Connectivity Awards 2014” sponsored by auto motor und sport and CHIP. Audi came out top in the categories Navigation, Telephone Integration, Sound System, Entertainment/Multimedia and Connected Cars.

Audi’s MMI navigation plus system, the phone box, the Bang & Olufsen Sound System in its S3 and the LTE wireless communication standard were amongst the winning technologies. Audi TT compact sports car was awarded as the best-connected car in its respective arena. The connectivity highlight in the compact sports car is its virtual cockpit, which includes the instrument cluster and MMI screen into a central, digital unit, and sets new standards with dynamic animations and precise graphics.
