Buick announced that its 2015 models will provide buyers with high-speed Internet connection via the automaker’s OnStar 4G LTE.

Buick vehicles will come with features like browsing the Internet, sending emails, playing games, and downloading movies. Available in both the U.S. and Canada, certain models in particular will come standard with the hardware. The 2015 Buick Regal, LaCrosse, Verano, and Encore will all be equipped with OnStar 4G LTE.

In addition, the 2016 Buick model will be equipped (standard or optional) with the built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.

Consumers can also expect Buick’s OnStar to be faster than its rival’s 3G connectivity technology. The on-the-go Wi-Fi will give passengers the ability to connect several of their devices, including laptops, tablets, and compatible smartphones. Passengers will be able to access files and review and send out important documents while sitting in their car.

Additionally Buick 2015 model owners will benefit with Buick AppShop, which is a feature of the IntelliLink system, it will be offered with the OnStar 4G LTE. This additional element will stream data and download apps like an online radio playlist.
