PSA Group’s connected cars to be equipped with Gemalto M2M solution

PSA group has decided to equip its connected cars with Gemalto’s M2M solutions. Gemalto’s LinqUS connectivity solution aligned with GSMA specifications, will be factory-fitted in PSA group’s next generation connected cars.  It also enables PSA Group to roll out an efficient tele-maintenance system to its connected vehicles with reduced operational costs, and ensure hassle-free updates for drivers. The joint effort will ultimately encompass all new vehicles produced by PSA group.

Gemalto’s LinqUs connectivity solution is based Cinterion MIM which can be deployed across all models. This enables PSA group to offer customized connectivity solutions as per the need and demands of the customer and region. This also allows the automobile giant to have complete flexibility over long-automotive life cycle.

Gemalto’s connectivity solution will enable PSA group to offer services like V2V communication, sophisticated in-car infotainment, navigation and emergency assistance, remote controlled fleet management and software updates.
