Eicher delivers 6 electric buses to Indian army

New Delhi, 7 February 2024: Eicher Trucks and Buses, a division of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) Limited, delivered six Eicher Skyline PRO E 9M Staff AC Electric Buses to the Indian Army. These deliveries support the Indian Army’s transformative initiative to deploy environment friendly and sustainable transportation for staff and troop movement. They will also be used for ceremonial purposes. The buses are 9 meters long and can seat up to 38 passengers. They are equipped with a 230 kWh battery pack that provides a range of up to 250 km on a single charge. The buses also have a top speed of 80 km/h.

The formal handover ceremony took place at the prestigious Manekshaw Centre in Dhaulakuan, New Delhi. It occurred in the distinguished presence of Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, VSM, Vice Chief of the Indian Army, and other senior officers from the Indian Army.
