Hyundai Mobis gets 7,500+ mobility patents in 3 Years

According to a recent announcement from Hyundai Mobis, it has received over 7,500 patents during the previous three years, greatly increasing its global competitiveness.

The numbers were made public during the company’s yearly Invention Day celebration, which took place at its research facility in Yongin, which is located just south of Seoul.The Hyundai Motor Group’s auto parts division reports that over 3,000 of these patents relate to technologies in electrification, autonomous driving, and connected vehicles.

In the past year, of the 2,300 new patents filed by Hyundai Mobis, over 1,000 centered on future mobility technologies. High-definition heads-up displays and sophisticated smart key technology that guards against digital key hacking are among the important patents that have been registered. Hyundai Mobis places a strong emphasis on the environment in which internal inventors and patent specialists collaborate. To safeguard its intellectual property in each of these important overseas markets—North America, Europe, and India—the corporation also collaborates with patent agents.
