Automakers to showcase their electric vehicles at Auto Expo

Auto Expo will witness the launch of 24 new vehicles and over 100 vehicles will be unveiled. Startups around 12 in number will also participate and most of them are related to electric vehicles. There will also be display of electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles also this time, according to media reports.

The expo is co-organised by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), CII and Auto Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and will be held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida.

Mahindra, Pioneers of Electric Vehicle Technology in India, is set to showcase 6 all new EVs, of which 2 are inspiring futuristic concepts. In addition, there will also be a display of future electric architecture and an electric mobility platform that will drive connected experiences for consumers.

Tata Motors will also showcase 6 electric vehicles at the Expo which includes Tiago and Tigor. The company will also present 26 smart mobility solutions across its passenger and commercial vehicles. Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest automaker will showcase Suzuki e-Survivor electric SUV concept at the Expo.

Renault will showcase Renault Zoe, an electric mini car that has a driving range of 400kms. Mercedes-Benz EQ Concept may also be showcased by the company that has a range of 500km on a single charge. Korean automaker Hyundai will showcase the Ioniq EV and Kona SUV whose electric version might be launched in India by 2019 as per some reports.

Hitachi Automotive Systems India will exhibit a range of electrification and autonomous driving systems solutions specific to Indian society. The company will showcase an autonomous driving system area and autonomous driving systems created by coordinating 360° sensing technology.
