Enigma Telematics, one of the UK’s leading security and telematics specialists, has released a new version of its Skyline web platform – Skyline 7.5
Enigma has also released an all-new version of its iOS tablet app – Skyline Asset Tracking – which will shortly be followed by Android and Windows versions.
After in-depth consultation with customers, Skyline 7.5 incorporates a number of key new features which greatly improve usability:
- Security: Users can now assign a security zone to an entire group of mobile assets, complete with email or SMS alerts, with just a few mouse clicks
- Fleet Management: Skyline now provides a range of data that allows fleet managers to highlight inappropriate vehicle use or driving behaviour through a simple Key Performance Indicator (KPI) based format. This information can then be used to educate offenders
- Fuel Management: This element is an entirely new addition to Skyline, allowing users to import data and produce fuel consumption figures on a per asset or fleetwide basis. A significant percentage of Enigma Telematics’ development budget will be devoted to on-going development in the key areas of vehicle costing, driver behaviour and fuel management
In parallel with the release of Skyline 7.5, Enigma’s all-new version of its tablet app – Skyline Asset Tracking – is now available as a free download from the Apple app store. the app features access to key reports, vehicle location, routing and asset control. The app literally puts the power of Skyline into users’ hands, helping them to trace, track and monitor their mobile assets.
Tablet apps for Android and Windows devices will follow during the fourth quarter of 2013, with smartphone apps due for launch early in quarter one next year.
