Meeting for the formation of Telematics Association of India on 22nd Feb’13

Industry leaders of are all set to lay the foundation stone for Telematics Association of India. Many of the stake holders are expected to come together for the first meeting which is scheduled to be held on 22nd of February at New Delhi.

The aim of the association is to promote scientific learning and technological development in general and more particularly an all-round, rational and economic development of the telematics industry through the increased usage of telematics technology based solutions and services in governance and industry vertical segments. It also actively promotes and advocates the sensitization and promotion of Telematics and its applications, development of Telematics as a subject of study and research for the long-term benefit of the community. This association shall be guided by a set of shared values, to which all its members stand committed.

Telematics Association of India is guided in its vision by the need to emerge as a knowledge organization to promote technology and its applications in general and specifically telematics technology.

The objectives behind forming this association are to liaise with Government on behalf of vehicle telematics community for the development of the industry and further coordinate for formulation of policies conducive to the growth of industry, to assist in the formation of standards, specifications and laws pertaining to hardware, software and other inter related matters for vehicle telematics, to encourage research, development, education and training in Vehicle Telematics, to encourage and print, publish and circulate journals, periodicals, books, papers, reports and other technical and commercial literature related to its fields of activities.
