Audi of America will use SiriusXM connected car emergency services

SiriusXM and Audi of America have announced that Audi has selected Sirius XM Connected Vehicle Services to power emergency services for the next generation of Audi connect. The new emergency services will be available beginning with the model year 2017 Audi Q7, which goes on sale in January 2016.


The new multi-year agreement provides Audi drivers and their passengers with peace of mind, and enhances the vehicle occupants’ connected experience. SiriusXM will provide Audi customers with SOS Call, which features automatic crash notification and manual emergency call. SiriusXM will also support Stolen Vehicle Location services.

Sirius XM Connected Vehicles Services provides connected vehicles services to Acura, BMW, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Nissan, Subaru, and Toyota. Sirius XM Connected Vehicle Services’s suite of safety, security, and convenience services includes automatic crash notification, enhanced roadside assistance, remote door unlock, remote start, stolen vehicle recovery assistance, turn-by-turn navigation, and more.
