UK: Insurance company Allianz is all set to take a plunge into the telematics based motor products. The company is working upon the strategic development of telematics-based motor products for Allianz UK across commercial and retail.
Gareth McChesney, head of home and motor portfolio management at Allianz Retail, stated that “At this stage it is very much about exploring opportunities, rather than launching products. As an innovative insurer we want to make sure that we are making the best use of the technology that is available in the market, and will therefore be setting up a small cross-divisional team to develop our strategy.”
“If there is a demand from our customers, we want to make sure we are in a position to provide a solution that meets their needs.” added Gareth McChesney.
