General Motors’ OnStar helped police to track stolen vehicle

Logan, United Kingdom: A vehicle tracking system helped lead North Park Police officers to a stolen vehicle in North Logan Tuesday night. Mohammed Aldaheri was arrested on a third-degree felony charge of stealing a vehicle after police found him and the vehicle near Airport Road.

North Park Police Sgt.John Seamons said the Aldaheri originally rented the vehicle from an agency near the Salt Lake Airport and then failed to return it.

Seamons said Aldaheri was taken to the police department and interviewed by officers. He was then arrested and booked into the Cache County Jail. Bail has been set at $5000. He added that it’s odd that Aldaheri would call “On Star” and report the car wasn’t working when he had broken the rental conditions.
