Allison Transmission is collaborating with LHP Telematics, an industry leader in creating custom white label telematics solutions. This collaboration will help improve remote support of 4th– and 5th-generation Allison transmissions.

LHP Telematics (LHPT) creates custom telematics solutions for equipment OEMs and dealerships, as well as in the motor coach and transit markets. Using deep expertise in CAN, remote monitoring, logistics, and service networks as well as the OEM/Dealer/Customer relationship, the company provides a telematics solution that is entirely customizable, from the configurable Embedded Application on the device to the customizable and brandable web portal.

Allison Transmission is one of the largest manufacturers of fully automatic transmissions for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, and is one of the leaders in electric hybrid-propulsion systems for city buses.

The company said in a press release that it is committed to powering the global connected vehicle ecosystem with telematics system providers, fleet management software providers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to support existing and new customers with connected capabilities.
