Recently Huawei signed a JV with Changan for smart vehicle system, sends a clear signal to the automakers about its intent to be in Tier 1 space. BYD in last week of Nov’23 announced its 6 millionth vehicle manufactured. From August 2nd week when it announced its 5 millionth vehicle manufactured, its about 15 weeks it took to manufacture 1 million electric vehicle!

Toyota announced its new battery tech which gives 1200Km range in controlled environment. Furthermore the solid state battery also promises much faster charging and smaller size.

Back home, in view of the FAME II subsidy coming to end in March’24, the industry leaders at a recently held conclave, urged the government to continue the subsidy till the EV industry reaches 25% of the overall automotive industry. MD of Tata Motors recently said that in 12-18 months EV would cost same as mass market ICE cars. FADA press release points to sale of 3.793 million vehicles in 42 days festive period. Up 19% from last year. Delhi gets the approval of Delhi Motor Vehicle Aggregator and Delivery Service Provider Scheme 2023 . In next 4-5 years the 2W/3W/4W in delivery and transport aggregator business will be electrified. We hope this would help Delhi NCR residents from scary AQI levels.
