Omega & Kissan partner for 500 electric cargo vehicles in India

Date: January 17, 2024. Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) and Kissan Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (OnEv), a zero-emission logistics provider, have announced a strategic partnership to deploy 500 electric three-wheeler cargo vehicles for last-mile delivery across India by June 2024.

A wide range of applications, including e-commerce, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and fast-moving consumer durables (FMCD), are covered by the transaction. The transaction is valued at INR 20 crores. The collaboration seeks to improve efficiency and dependability while lowering the logistics industry’s operational expenses and carbon footprint.

Electric three-wheelers are developing as a viable alternative to conventional vehicles for urban logistics. This is due to their lower noise and air pollution, improved battery performance, and government subsidies. OSM and OnEv are pioneers in the sector of electric logistics. They provide innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions to suit the changing needs of their customers.

Uday Narang, OSM’s founder and chairman, expressed excitement about partnering with OnEv for a groundbreaking initiative. He highlighted the shared vision for a sustainable logistics future. He stated that deploying electric vehicles will boost efficiency and contribute to a greener environment. Narang emphasized the commitment to electrifying the logistics sector. Moreover, he praised the collaboration with OnEv as a pivotal moment in the evolution of electric logistics.

Kamlesh Kaushik, CEO and founder of OnEv, expressed excitement about partnering with OSM for deploying 500 EV 3-wheelers in their fleet. As a zero-emission logistics company, OnEv aims to transform urban and rural logistics. They are confident in OSM’s product lineup and service support, planning to expand their fleet to 2500 3-wheelers and an equal number of 4-wheelers by March 2025.

OSM is the first OEM to offer electric two, three, and four-wheelers. Moreover, the company has established large-scale production facilities in Delhi NCR and Pune. The company also offers last-mile service under the trademark “UNOXpress”.

OnEv, a logistics company noted for its innovation and dependability, works in Delhi/NCR, Chandigarh, and Jaipur, managing a fleet of over 150 electric vehicles for clients in a variety of industries, including e-commerce, grocery delivery, FMCG, food, and pharmaceuticals for last-mile deliveries.
