BMW to use Avanci 5G vehicle platform

DUBLIN–(BUSINESS WIRE)– According to the press release BMW Group has inked a 5G connected vehicle license agreement with Avanci. The Avanci 5G Vehicle program provides a license to patented technologies essential for 5G, 4G, 3G, and 2G connectivity, this includes C-V2X technology. Furthermore, the program, launched in August 2023, already has 61 participating licensors.

This new Avanci program builds on the success of Avanci 4G Vehicle. Avanci 4G Vehicle license covers more than 130 million connected vehicles on the world’s roads. These vehicles come from more than 80 automotive brands.
