DTC and TRIWO partners for ADAS testing centre

TRIWO and DTC cooperation establishes new services and improved service-level at Germany's most innovative ADAS testing center

With their strategic partnership, TRIWO Automotive Testing GmbH and DTC GmbH Navigation & Security Solutions pursue the common goal of offering engineers with a unique RoadEdge route the most modern ADAS testing center throughout Germany. In addition to the state-of-the-art equipment of the center with facilities for testing the NCAP catalog, services can be booked or arranged during the reservation – or directly on site. This saves test engineers valuable time and costs. One-stop: The combined competences of the cooperation partners ensure that test engineers can centrally clarify all questions and individual concerns from planning to implementation of their test scenarios.

In the first phase of construction, TRIWO is in the process of creating an innovative location with the renovations and further expansion of its test center Pferdsfeld in Bad Sobernheim, which offers excellent conditions for automotive testing. This includes a total area of 135,000 m2 on the runway, different-sized test areas of up to 67.5 m x 550 m and a 1,840 m wet handling course. There are three areas available for ADAS tests with towing targets, pedestrians and platforms, which are ideally suited for cross-traffic scenarios with different intersection areas. For Lane Assist applications, there is a 3.0 km long 3-lane highway section.

A high-performance fiber optics network with 20 connecting-points on the entire test area as well as two high-performance electro filling stations will complete the high-end equipment of the test track.

In order to optimally support the test engineers on site, DTC as a system supplier offers high-performance GNSS systems and inertial measurement technology from OxTS, e.g. a complete RT Target Hunter system or mobile automotive video systems (such as the AVAD3 from DTC) or an RTK modem for receiving the line-wide basic data from the base station.

In addition, extensive accessories, such as antennas and mounting systems, can be purchased when booking the test track or directly on site.

In addition to the hardware, DTC also offers the possibility to receive support on the test track, immediate help and 1st level support. The immediate trouble shooting ensures that the planned test scenarios can be completed on time and within the budget.

The manufacturer-independent and challenging test track is located in the middle of Germany and is very easily accessible from many automotive locations. In order to save time on site, the test vehicle fleet can also be delivered in advance and the cooperation partners take over the complete commissioning and equipping of prototypes with measuring technology, robotics and platforms. Test track users benefit from another service, that TRIWO and DTC are offering: In the run-up to the technical set-up, the cooperation partners are on hand with their many years of expertise and provide advice on the planning and conception. This ensures a smooth process and optimum performance during the test scenario.
